The Gathering Room

What was once a bright but visually quiet living room has been transformed into a richly immersive family lounge. While the original space offered beautiful natural light and generous proportions, the design lacked warmth and a clear identity.

The renovation centers on a monochromatic terracotta palette that envelops the room, introducing warmth, depth, and a strong visual presence. Paired with a dark ceiling, the palette helps ground the tall windows and gives the space a more intimate architectural character while still allowing natural light to play across the surfaces throughout the day.
Sculptural seating, layered textiles, and expressive artwork add dimension and personality, creating a gallery-like atmosphere that remains comfortable and functional for everyday family life. The redesigned lounge now balances drama with warmth—an inviting environment that encourages conversation, relaxation, and gathering.
